The perilous state of the UK construction industry’s workforce was the subject of an article by Bloomberg picked up in The Washington Post. Entitled ‘Where Will Keir Starmer’s Builders Come From?” it explored the pressures to increase new housing output against a backdrop of finite construction skills and resources. It quoted Cast CEO, Mark Farmer and his 2016 Modernise of Die report’s findings and the fact that a lack of industry action to modernise is now starting to really impact its future prospects.
