Cast CEO, Mark Farmer has been asked to lead a government review of Industry Training Boards (ITB’s) as part of a wider programme looking at the role of Arms Length Bodies across government. The two remaining ITB’s – the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) operate under a statutory mandate designed in the 1960’s to address market failure in certain sectors in relation to skills and training.
Mark will lead a team from the Department for Education and report his findings to the Skills Minister, Robert Halfon MP at the end of 2023 / beginning of 2024. Read more about the review here
