Under the Construction Sector Deal, the government and the construction sector have aligned to introduce digital technologies and manufacturing methods that reduce the amount of onsite labour, excess time spent on building an asset, and overall waste of supplies and energy. In doing so, the government and participating bodies predict that the construction sector will save cost and create more capital for investments in infrastructure and housing across the UK and, in turn, strengthening the entire supply chain.
