Pre-Cast Story:
In 2014, I earned two Master of Science degrees in Architectural Design and Sustainability with distinction from the Polytechnic University of Milan and the Polytechnic University of Turin. After graduating, I took a leap and applied for a job in California, where I worked for two years on various Affordable Housing projects. My journey then led me to London, where I joined a Danish firm and became a qualified architect in both Italy and the UK. Since relocating to London, I have fallen in love with the city and have had the opportunity to work on several large-scale, mixed-use developments.
Your Career Journey at Cast:
I encountered Cast while working on a regeneration project in North London. The project posed challenges, but what truly stood out to me was Cast’s commitment to developing a strong placemaking strategy. It was refreshing to see that the architects were not left to handle this alone; project managers and clients also felt a shared responsibility to create schemes that serve as catalysts for change and positively impact local communities. This experience made me realise how exciting it could be to transition into project management, where I could help guide design processes, make strategic decisions, and oversee larger teams involving a diverse range of stakeholders.
I joined Cast in the spring of 2023, and since then, I have had the incredible opportunity to work on one of the largest and most complex hybrid planning applications in central London.
Current Role:
I am a Project Manager with a strong background in the residential sector, particularly in large-scale regeneration projects. Currently, I’m managing six development plots within the first phase of Earls Court EC2.
What are your ambitions:
I’m passionate about placemaking strategies and creating social value. My goal is to deliver schemes that have a meaningful and positive impact on local communities. As a member of the ESG team, I am also eager to deepen my understanding of new technologies and their potential to enhance client value while promoting sustainable design.
What would you say to someone thinking about joining Cast?
Don’t be afraid of change! You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the diverse backgrounds of the people here and how incredibly supportive everyone is.
