A 485 bedroom student accommodation project located in central Nottingham. The demolition contract was awarded in November 2019 and completed at the end of January 2020. Given very tight timescales to place a contact, Cast negotiated with the Main Contractor to agree the contract value and start on site within 3 months of initial engagement in order to achieve PC by September 2021.

The works began in February 2020 and the project achieved practical completion in September 2021. The development includes significant areas of amenity space, including roof terraces, a gym, communal workspaces, and a cinema room. The detailed design for these areas were carried out during post contract award with Cast providing cost management, project management and Employer’s Agent services on the project. Cast managed the interior design team, working with them and the main contractor to ensure that the Client’s vision and budget were met. During the contract the Client took the decision to redesign the interior of the bedrooms, Cast managed the design and costing exercises so this did not impact on ether cost or programme.
